Abstract

Effects of levofloxcin in hepatic and renal functions were studied in four groups of catfish (Clarias Lazera). The study investigated that a significant decrease in total protein level in group II at 5th day and then begin to return to normal at 10th ,15th day ,a significant decrease in total protein level in group III at the first ,10th ,15th day and a significant decrease in total protein group IV at the 10th day also found a significant decrease in albumin level in group III at the first,10th ,15th day and also in group IV. Concerning liver enzymes found a significant increase in alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in group II at the 10th day, a significant increase in aspartate aminotransferase (AST) at the first day in group II. A significant increase was recorded in aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in group III in all days as well as a significant increase in aspartate aminotransferase (AST) in group IV at the first day. A significant increase in alkaline phosphatases (ALP) at the 15th day in group II.A significant decrease in alkaline phosphatases (ALP) at the 15th day in group III.A significant increase in alkaline phosphatases (ALP) in group IV at the 10th, 15th day .Concerning kidney functions found a significant increase in urea in group III at the 5th day. A significant decrease in urea was observed in group IV at 5th day. Creatinine significantly increased in group III at the 5th day. But levels of creatinine in all groups were nearly within normal level in all days.
